To ensure full SharePoint functionality (in particular integration/functionality within Document Libraries), it is recommended to use Internet Explorer. Other browsers such as Chrome and Firefox also work on PC. On a Macintosh system, "Microsoft Document Connection" application (included in Office for Mac) as well as Safari and Chrome browsers​ can be used  for editing documents in document libraries.
